OhioXcelerate, a partnership between OhioX, Alloy Growth Lab, and Queen City Angels, is now accepting applications for its first-ever event taking place on June 21st from 9am to 12:30pm. This unique platform provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect with top mentors in various aspects of business, including fundraising, sales, marketing, and customer discovery.
“We are thrilled to launch OhioXcelerate and bring together the state’s most promising startups with the best and brightest minds in business,” said Antony Seppi, VP of Alloy Growth Lab. “We believe that with the right mentorship and expertise, these startups will be able to achieve their full potential and make a significant impact on the local economy. This program is an ‘all-hands-on deck’ approach to connecting startups with value-add resources throughout Ohio – whether it be funders, customers, mentors, or partners – we are building the connectivity framework for entrepreneurial success with OhioX.”
Chris Berry, President/CEO of OhioX, added, “OhioXcelerate offers a one-of-a-kind statewide opportunity for entrepreneurs to receive invaluable advice and guidance from experienced professionals. Our goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment across all of Ohio where participants can grow their businesses and achieve their goals.”
The virtual event will feature introductions of mentors, followed by 10-minute pitches from three participants. Participants will then rotate between three breakout rooms, each focused on a different aspect of business and led by mentors with subject matter expertise. At the end of the event, mentors will fill out a scorecard and feedback form. The winner will receive a package of services to support their business endeavors.
Applications for both mentors and participants are open now and will close on May 1st. Entrepreneurs interested in participating in OhioXcelerate can submit a brief application and pitch their business idea or current business.
“We believe that OhioXcelerate will be a game-changer for startups in Ohio, and we encourage all entrepreneurs to apply,” said Berry.
