With HCDC President & CEO Pat Longo coming on board in January 2019, we waited until he got his footing in our home region of Southwest Ohio before sending him to travel to our satellite location in Canton, Ohio for a series of meet and greet events put together by our HCDC East Director Jeffery Hasapis. One of the most impactful meetings was held in Cambridge, OH, a location central to the Southeastern Ohio market. HCDC wanted to bring together current and potential SBA 504 Loan Program partners to discuss the current economy in the region, what the lending needs are in the market, and how HCDC can partner and help meet those needs.
Among those in attendance were Cindy Voorhies, Business Advisor for the Ohio University Zanesville Small Business Development Center (SBDC), John Voorhies, Busiess Advisor of the Ohio University Marietta SBDC, Lolly Ravak, Loan Administrator for the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) revolving loan fund program in Cambridge, OH, James Schoch, Executive Director for the Eastern Ohio Developent Alliance (EODA), and Ron Moss, Executive-in-Residence with Tech Growth Ohio, a Southeast Ohio Entrepreneurial Signature Program.
This group of business and capital assistance providers is looking to work more closely together to facilitate programming to reach clients and leverage our respective networks better for local business owners and entrepreneurs. This event was one of several meetings with economic development partners in the East Central Ohio region on this trip to improve the visability and connectivity of HCDC’s business and economic development tools to the local marketplace.
