HCDC Marketing and Communications Director
Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for identifying, planning, communicating, and delivering the marketing and communications activities needed to support and drive the achievement of HCDC’s mission and objectives. Specific areas of responsibility include engagement with and support for the President, Management Team, and staff involving marketing strategy and planning, communication planning and execution, media and public relations, social media, events management, and brand positioning and implementation.
Also, the Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for providing support to the President, Management Team, and staff with managing the relationships (internal & external) critical to HCDC in achieving its revenue growth, fund raising and brand building objectives. This is a hands-on, team focused, customer and market focused position responsible for generating materials and creating events aimed at generating brand awareness and financial support via increased revenues, sponsorship, and fundraising.

Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Take the lead role with full engagement from HCDC’s Management Team in the formation and implementation of HCDC’s comprehensive marketing plan to meet the organization’s strategic initiatives
- In conjunction with lead program staff, collaborate to develop and support appropriate marketing plans for each business unit to meet key performance indicators (KPI’s) as identified by each business unit.
- Ensure company-wide clarity and consistency in execution of brand equity
- Take the lead role with full engagement from HCDC’s Management team in developing a comprehensive development strategy and assist the HCDC management Team to achieve sponsorship and fundraising goals, which includes the identification and cultivation of potential funding sources to support new and existing products/programs
- Take the lead role with full engagement from HCDC’s Management team in developing a comprehensive communication’s strategy that delivers consistent messaging to targeted audiences utilizing traditional and web based sources that increases brand awareness
- Manage all marketing, communications and fundraising activities with full engagement with HCDC management and staff
- In conjunction with lead program staff, maintain and grow strong working relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, collaborators, and customers
- Engage with the President and lead staff to identify and communicate potential opportunities and assist in the development of potential opportunities to network and promote HCDC
- Create presentation materials; write speaking points and press releases
- Manage the design and creation of all collateral materials, including the annual report and annual meeting, to ensure adherence to corporate brand standards and mission goals
- Manage the marketing and communications budget
- Perform market research as requested by the President and Management Team as needed to better understand market opportunities or challenges involving HCDC
- As a member of the Management Team, give periodic updates to the Board of Directors and its various subcommittees as required
- Manage all HCDC Social Media Platforms

Education and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Communications
- 4-6 years of professional marketing/communications experience
- Fundraising / Grant writing experience
- Highly experienced Microsoft Office user
