Annual Celebration Awards Recognize Outstanding Achievements in Community Success

Sharonville, OH – On February 28, 2024, Alloy Development Company proudly hosted the annual Celebration Awards at the Sharonville Convention Center, recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions to our region. The event showcased exceptional individuals and organizations dedicated to driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and promoting community engagement.

The afternoon began with our Startup Expo featuring startups to watch. The luncheon kicked off with a warm welcome from our Emcee and Board Member Kyla Woods and a a few words from Hamilton County Commission President Alicia Reece. The event’s success was made possible through the generous support of premier sponsors Office Furniture Source and Wood + Lamping, along with gold and silver sponsors, whose contributions were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.

Key highlights from the event included:

  • Lending Advocate of the Year: Sara McCarty from Portage Community Bank received accolades for her exemplary commitment to supporting businesses through the SBA 504 program. Sara’s expertise and dedication have significantly contributed to the success of numerous enterprises, demonstrating the power of community partnership in driving economic prosperity.

  • David K. Main Lending Project of the Year: Tennant Packaging Corporation was honored for its outstanding achievements in leveraging Alloy Commercial Capital’s SBA 504 lending program. Their remarkable growth journey exemplifies the transformative impact of strategic financial support on business expansion and job creation.

  • Alloy Growth Lab Client of the Year: Ashley Barrow, Founder of RE-Assist, was celebrated for her innovative contributions to healthcare technology.   • Larry Albice Entrepreneurship Award: Chad Edwards with his company Emersion Design, is a pioneer in sustainability, operating one of the first LEED Platinum architecture firms worldwide. His contributions to sustainability in Greater Cincinnati and mentorship within the Alloy Growth Lab reflect his enduring committment to innovation and community engagement.

  • Todd Portune Innovation Award: ABEL Building Systems was recognized for their pioneering work in electronic systems integration. The company’s innovative solutions and commitment to excellence have positioned them as leaders in their field, making them deserving recipients of the Todd Portune Innovation Award.

  • Ron Schallick Economic Development Award: Mane, Inc. was honored for its long history and commitment to the community through investment and job creation. Mane Inc., a worldwide fragrance and flavor industry leader, has demonstrated a strong commitment to growth and sustainability. Their expansion project in Woodlawn will create new job opportunities and further contribute to the local economy.

The event also featured insightful keynote remarks by Chris Berry, President and CEO of OhioX, highlighting the pivotal role of technology and innovation in driving regional development and economic prosperity.
