We have been shedding the quiet label and boldly moving the needle forward in economic development, SBA lending, and business incubation. The promotion of two of our seasoned leaders is our next step in this forward trajectory. Catherine Fitzgerald has been named Vice President of Economic Development and Jon Main has been named Vice President of Lending.
Catherine Fitzgerald has been promoted to Vice President of Economic Development effective May 6th after unanimous Board approval. Previously Catherine served as the Senior Director. Catherine has been with HCDC for 16 years and in that time has been responsible for overseeing the County’s business retention program which aids in the attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses in Hamilton County and has led major attraction and expansion projects. Catherine is the consummate team player and has mentored a number of HCDC’s Economic Development staff members.
Through her proactiveness, she has been instrumental in growing relationships with Hamilton County communities, including the City of Norwood and the Uptown Consortium area, that are seeing significant impact from her efforts. Her involvement in the community and on local boards has increased our visibility in the community. Her commitment to the County and community contracts has earned her the role of Vice President of Economic Development. We look to her leadership to guide us through a post-pandemic economy.
Jon Main has been named a Vice President of Lending effective May 6th after unanimous Board approval. Previously, Jon was serving as the Director of Loan Operations. Jon has been with us for 8 years and has quickly made a significant impact on the SBA 504 Lending Program. He is a fast learner and has grown into the role of trusted advisor to our staff, lending partners, customers, and Board members. As the SBA Lending programs evolve, we will rely on Jon’s leadership and expertise to guide the department as Vice President of Lending.
“I’m proud to promote two seasoned employees to Vice-Presidents roles. Their leadership and outstanding contributions to their departments has earned them this recognition and I am excited to see them thrive in these expanded roles,” said Patrick Longo, President and CEO.
